Inpatient hospitalizations, discharged from civilian, non-federal hospitals located in Florida, where hypertension, also known as high blood pressure, was the principal diagnosis.

Hypertension can result in additional cardiovascular conditions, premature death, lost productivity and high medical costs from hospitalization.
