Births covered by Medicaid is a count of births with Medicaid as a payment source for labor and delivery services. It may be expressed as a percentage of births.This measure is an indicator of access to jobs, health insurance, and economic independence.
In 2021, in Alachua County, the percent of births with a payment source that were Births Covered by Medicaid (All) was 43.1 compared to Florida at 45.7. When an age range is not selected or shown, an ending age of 999 is used to retrieve all records up to and including the oldest age.
